The pigs already explained WVUs bullshit weapons policy.

Hi Alex,

The answer is that we are carrying sporting equipment with us, not swords. Fencing equipment is typically carried in sports bags for holding our equipment and gear, both for walking around campus and for whenever we travel to sporting events and competitions.

Since you mention carrying what sounds like a real sword I feel that I should again explicitly mention that our club practices and teaches the sport of Olympic Fencing. You are quite welcome to join us and other interested beginner students this coming week at practice for learning the sport, but we will need you to leave any such real blades or weapons elsewhere (if you had such things in mind). At the end of the day we are a student organization at West Virginia University and as such want to have a safe and welcoming environment befitting such a group.

Best,
Henry

How do you all carry your swords around without someone calling the police on you? I had that done to me today.

Roger.

See you next week.

If you see me around campus you won't be able to miss me I look like William Wallace plus Rhett Butler plus Clint Eastwood in the Good the Bad and the Ugly and I'm wearing a cape with the American Flag on it et cetera.

Say hi. Ill show you my D-Guard Bowie Saber.

Nothing needs to be bought to start, the club has gear which people can use in order to try out the sport and see if they like it or not.

Open practices are slated to begin Aug. 30 (a week from this Monday). So that will be the next practice for new/interested individuals.

I plan to send out email later this coming week to confirm this date as well as provide additional details required for club practice.

Hi Alex!

For sure! All are welcome to the club.

With respect to medieval style combat, we do not practice with any such weapons in our club, that is more in line with the HEMA group in Morgantown. Our focus is on the sport of Olympic Fencing.

Best,
Henry

Also do any of your members fight with heavy blunted swords? Medieval combat.

Thanks.
